The Mobile App Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and optimizing the SmallSmall App ensuring a seamless user experience and efficient vendor interactions. This role requires expertise in mobile app development debugging and performance optimization to drive the success of our e-commerce platform.
About the Role
As a Mobile App Engineer youll work closely with the tech product and design teams to create robust scalable mobile applications. Youll focus on building innovative features resolving technical challenges and maintaining the stability of the app to meet user needs.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile App Development
- Build and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
- Implement new features and enhance app functionality to align with user requirements and business goals.
- Collaborate with the product and design teams to ensure a smooth user interface and experience.
App Optimization and Maintenance
- Debug and resolve app performance issues crashes and bugs to ensure smooth functionality.
- Optimize application performance and ensure compatibility with the latest OS updates and devices.
API Integration
- Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs and other external services seamlessly into the mobile app.
- Ensure secure and efficient data flow between the app and backend systems.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the app meets high-quality standards and functions without errors.
- Implement automated tests to enhance app reliability and reduce regression issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the operations marketing customer and vendor management teams to align app features with user and vendor needs.
- Provide technical support for resolving user-reported issues.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Stay updated on industry trends tools and technologies to ensure the app remains competitive and cutting-edge.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance user experience and platform efficiency.
Startup Responsibility
- Adapt to dynamic business needs and take on evolving responsibilities as the platform grows.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mobile app development for Android and iOS.
- Proficiency in cross platform development using Flutter.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture and design principles.
- Experience with API integration and debugging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing e-commerce or marketplace applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
- Understanding of user analytics and A/B testing in mobile environments.
