Pay

HK$105006 HK$164235 (HMPS Pt 12 21) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Hospital Chief Executive and as a member of the hospital management team and the head of Central Nursing Division the General Manager (Nursing) is responsible for the development provision and monitoring of patient care services of the hospital. The main duties include:

1.

Act as a member of the hospital management team.

2.

Head the hospitals central nursing administration.

3.

Formulate the overall nursing policies and directions for the hospital.

4.

Establish professional nursing standards.

5.

Direct the preparation and implementation of nursing development plans.

6.

Direct and appraise the overall execution of nursing activities cross clinical departments.

7.

Provide nursing staff counselling and promote welfare.

8.

Plan coordinate and monitor the recruitment deployment development and retention initiatives for nurses.

9.

Provide input regarding professional competency to performance evaluation and appointment of nursing staff.

10.

Promote a positive hospital image to the public with regard to quality nursing services.

11.

Act as the nursing representative of the hospital.

Entry Requirements

1.

Holder of Certificate of Registration issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

2.

A minimum of 10 years relevant post-registration experience including at least 8 years of working experience in the nursing management position.

Qualification in management*

* Qualification in Management refers to post-graduate certificate/diploma or Master in health service related management or Master in nursing# or other discipline with considerable coverage on health service related management.

# Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted
