Job Summary
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years experience in civil engineering construction
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
- Experience in tunnel construction structural steel structure construction precast construction pile foundation station construction coordination and interfacing with contractors under an operating railway environment handling statutory processes leading to handover of the completed works is an advantage
- NEC4 Accreditation is an advantage

- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms

Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documents and manage tender process for new railway projects
- Manage civil engineering works including deep excavation tunnel construction (TBM Drill & blast) structural steel structure construction cut and cover structure precast construction excavation and lateral support (ELS) pile foundation station construction reinstatement and reprovisioning works architectural builders works and finishes (ABWF) building works and operation interface matters in an operating railway environment
- Manage contractors site activities and ensure works progress against project programme within budget and prevent any impact on operating railways
- Ensure construction safety maintain high quality standards of the works and in compliance with all statutory requirements
- Recommend the approval of temporary works designs coordinate works on existing stations as well as manage utilities and temporary traffic management schemes
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to meet specified operational requirements and external parties including the community and government departments to facilitate the granting of necessary approvals for implementation of works
