Job Summary

We are looking for aspiring and suitably qualified individuals to join our Capital Works Business Unit (CWBU) where we work with our stakeholders to create sustainable transport solutions for the community and we care for our staff and provide a great place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Capital Works Digital Strategy and Innovation unit to formulate and implement digital and innovation strategies across engineering construction and project management addressing business needs and emerging challenges
  • Define and deliver digital and innovation programmes including project planning prioritisation risk management budgets and stakeholders engagement
  • Establish standardisation governance and compliance frameworks for digital and innovation initiatives
  • Translate business and user requirements into business cases partner with internal and external teams including consultants and vendors to deliver upgrade and maintain systems within budget
  • Engage stakeholders to identify business pain points review processes and drive technology-enabled improvements for operational efficiency aligned with CWBU objectives
  • Research recommend and implement innovative technologies build a strong internal and external digital and innovation ecosystem
  • Lead communication and promotion of Capital Works Digital and Innovation initiatives across CWBU the Corporation and external stakeholders
  • Build and connect wider digital and innovation ecosystem by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders working closely with IT team to ensure alignment with Corporate IT standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology / Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years relevant experience of which 6 years should be at managerial level
  • Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with experience working internal and external parties at different levels
  • Solid experience in infrastructure project management and delivery across the full project life cycle strong knowledge of project management frameworks and system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Proficient in digital platforms for engineering construction and project management with knowledge of construction technologies e.g. Building Information Modelling (BIM) Geographical Information System (GIS) Smart Site Safety System and Digital Works Supervision System and emerging areas such as AI data analytics and data governance

Remarks

  • Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
