Job Title: Corporate Commercial Account Executive

Salary: 85000 per annum
Location: Birmingham

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes are working with a well-established broker in their search for an experienced Account Executive to join their commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a substantial portfolio of clients while driving new business opportunities and contributing to the teams continued growth.

You will provide exceptional client service by managing and growing a diverse commercial portfolio building strong relationships and delivering effective risk and protection solutions.

The role requires presence in Birmingham at least once a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a portfolio of clients overseeing renewals adjustments and day-to-day servicing
Identify opportunities for growth both within existing accounts and through new business development and cross-selling
Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Support and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Work effectively with a team of Account Handlers and maintain regular communication with them

DAY-TO-DAY

Meeting with clients across the Northwest area
Handling client queries and providing timely professional advice
Preparing and presenting renewal terms and recommendations
Monitoring market developments to ensure clients receive the most suitable solutions
Supporting junior colleagues and sharing technical knowledge

SKILLS

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Commercially astute with a proactive solutions-focused mindset
Competence with industry systems (Acturis experience advantageous but not essential)
