Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Gourmet Club Advisor for the school year. The Gourmet Club advisor must have culinary and hospitality experience and the ability to collaborate with Minuteman faculty staff and is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education regarding any Gourmet club activities.
- Recruit students to participate in the club.
- Assist students in creating menus preparing serving food and planning upcoming events.
- Coordinate student club members to work any required school-wide events.
- Coordinate with staff members to assist with planning events including breakfasts dinners staff meetings and outreach.
- Assist students in completing any paperwork needed for the business office including timecards and paychecks for services rendered.
- Meet with advisory board chair to plan and carry out Minutemans annual advisory dinner.
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for Gourmet Club students.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
- Ability to coordinate school-wide events requiring menu planning and hospitality services.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1 2026 June 30 2027).
Supervisor:- Director of Career and Technical Education.
Compensation:- The stipend for this position is $1687.
