Job Summary

Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Gourmet Club Advisor for the school year. The Gourmet Club advisor must have culinary and hospitality experience and the ability to collaborate with Minuteman faculty staff and is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education regarding any Gourmet club activities.
Recruit students to participate in the club.
Assist students in creating menus preparing serving food and planning upcoming events.
Coordinate student club members to work any required school-wide events.
Coordinate with staff members to assist with planning events including breakfasts dinners staff meetings and outreach.
Assist students in completing any paperwork needed for the business office including timecards and paychecks for services rendered.
Meet with advisory board chair to plan and carry out Minutemans annual advisory dinner.
Complete an approved Program of Work.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for Gourmet Club students.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
Ability to coordinate school-wide events requiring menu planning and hospitality services.

Additional Requirements:

This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.

Terms of Employment:

Stipend Position.

Effective Dates of Employment:

This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.

Supervisor:

Director of Career and Technical Education.

Compensation:

The total stipend for this position is $1687 for the entire assignment.
