About the position

Councils Revenue ServicesDepartment is looking for a Valuations & Property Officertitle who will be responsible for position objective.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Create all new properties and rate assessments in Pathway as subdivision applications are referred and street numbering has been completed or when dual occupancies or consolidations are identified from various sources.
  • Measure all works on building applications key data into our corporate Pathway system VM Online and prepare for supplementary valuation in accordance with the Valuation Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Working with the Senior Valuation & Property Officer with the allocation of street numbering as set out in the procedures and in accordance with relevant standards and legislation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all valuation enquiries and objections are recorded in VM Online in a timely manner and assist valuer with enquiries where requested.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated professional who combines property and valuation expertise with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a revenue team or similar would be well regarded particularly within property and valuations;
  • Excellent communication skills with regards to daily telephone enquiries and Pathway Customer Requests responses;
  • An excellent team focus and customer centric attitude; and
  • VM Online & Pathway Property and Rates data processing experience.

This position is aBand 4currently remunerated at$74536per annum plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
