Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Drive RAP initiatives across Family and Disability Services embedding reconciliation commitments into everyday practice and strengthening culturally sensitive service delivery.
Develop and deliver learning programs that build cultural capability andcocreate practical tools guidelines and frameworks that supportbestcreate practical tools guidelines and frameworks that supportbestpracticeengagement with First Nations communitiespractice engagement with First Nations communitiesclientsand Elders.
Provide trusted specialist cultural and practice advice to teams supporting informed decisionmakingacrossFaDSmakingacrossFaDS.
Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Elders and organisationsrepresentingFaDSand the Mission RAP Team at key forums and advising on collaborationspoliciesand procedures.
Inform new service models contribute to projects that improve cultural capability and accessibility and advise senior leaders through highquality reportsquality reportsinsightsand briefings.
Coach and guide employees and volunteers involved in RAP activities and coordinate induction and ongoing support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
Maintain RAP governance and reporting requirements support coordination of action items and compliance and provide strategic direction to theFaDSCoolamon Group in line with RAPobjectives.
What makes a difference for us
Tertiary qualifications ordemonstratedcompetency in Health and Community Services plus the ability to obtain required probity checks (LCS2 Blue Card NDIS Worker Clearance National Police Check).
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative partnerships that strengthen community capacity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.
Proven capability in supporting culturally informed workforce practices and fostering safe meaningful relationships with First Nations staff.
Sound understanding of historical and contemporary factors shaping outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their relevance to effective service delivery.
Highly developed crosscultural communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully and confidently across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong writtenverbaland digital communication skills with the capacity to adapt messaging for varied audiences and contexts.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and experience across policy research project management continuousimprovementand First Nations workforce support.
