What Youll Do
The incumbent serves as a critical liaison between the Project Management and Supply Chain Management organizations serving as the SCM subject matter expert and leader supporting engineering design construction testing and start-up of over 130 projects annually. This role is responsible for integrating SCM functions namely procurement and subcontract administration with PM functions and ensuring construction projects are supported by effective and efficient acquisition strategies. The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with the PM leadership team and project managers to advise recommend and develop procurement strategy assist with procurement packages and drive process improvements by identifying and implementing commercial best practices. The work requires a strong knowledge of both project management and supply chain principles to ensure seamless collaboration and operational alignment between the two groups.
Primary Duties Include:
Act as Liaison and Foster Integration
Acts as a primary liaison between the Project Management and Supply Chain Management organizations integrating the STR function subcontract administration and purchasing activities to ensure seamless collaboration and operational alignment between the two groups. Champions a culture of teamwork.
Lead Acquisition Strategy and Planning
Leads the development of comprehensive acquisition strategies in close collaboration with project managers. Assists in developing detailed procurement forecasts and timelines to support project goals schedules and acquisition budgets.
Ensure Procurement Execution and Support
Assists project teams in preparing complete and accurate procurement packages. Manages the acquisition process from initiation through closeout ensuring all documentation meets organizational standards and requirements.
Drive Process Improvement and Commercial Practices for Projects
Evaluates procurement activities to identify opportunities for increased efficiency. Seeks analyzes and recommends actions for implementing commercial best practices to optimize procurement processes for Projects.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience.
- OR eighteen or more years of relevant education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or contracting
Preferred Job Requirements
- Experience with construction architectural & engineering professional services commodities and MRO contracting
- Experience with commercial construction
- Knowledge of government regulatory acquisition requirements (DEAR FAR)
- Advanced interpersonal skills oral and written communication and strong negotiation skills
