Job Summary

The Co-brand business development team forms a critical part of the Co-brand team as part of the NA & Global Co-brand CoE. 

Our teams mission is to win new co-brand business globally. The team is engaged across multiple functions within the Visa global organization to bring the very best of Visas expertise and assets to our clients earning well-qualified wins to drive revenue growth while building trust and growing engagement and satisfaction among teammates partners and clients. 

The Director Global Co-Brand Business Development CoE  is responsible for leading and executing a Co-brand and broader partnership development strategy for markets globally. This role requires leadership vision and creativity to develop the Co-brand strategy drive the expansion of Visa products and solutions and lead the overall commercialization of Visas business development objectives. 

This role will report directly to the Senior Director Head of Co-Brand Business Development This role will collaborate with key executive leadership across Visa in multiple markets such as sales leaders issuer account leaders finance legal marketing technology customer support and product teams. Externally this role will collaborate with senior executives at merchants issuers and consultants to best navigate the sales process to closure and help ensure a successful launch. 

Location:

  • The position can be located in Atlanta or San Francisco. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development and own deals end-to-end for high priority co-brand opportunities globally including renewals net new opportunities and takeaway engagements. 
  • Drive pitch and proposal development and lead external discussions and negotiations with internal stakeholders and the client to secure new business. 
  • Drive cross-functional discussions with the relevant stakeholders to construct Visas value story and lead internal alignment. 
  • Lead strategic initiatives that define Visas long-term approach and demonstrate thought leadership to our partners. 
  • Serve as internal and external thought leader responsible for communicating Visas Co-brand and partnership vision strategy and perspective within a rapidly evolving industry. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
Business Development and Partnerships Experience Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business. Experience selling ideas and solutions to senior management based on client priorities and needs. Proven ability to manage a pipeline structure a deal negotiate business agreements and drive commercial -Brand experience is a plus particularly across international markets.
Collaboration and Relationship Building Demonstrated experience building and leveraging strong relationships within Visa and client organizations at multiple levels.
Exceptional Leadership Strong executive presence and experience leading cross-functional teams to promote a shared vision and deliver as a single team. Inclusive leader invested in developing and growing talent.
Excellent Communicator Superb ability to influence and collaborate at all levels ability to articulate strategic concepts through exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Drive for Results Strong project management skills with ability to deliver tangible business results.

Global experience working across multiple markets particularly in the co-brand space.
Payments industry experience with a strong partnership focus.
Co-brand issuer and/or merchant experience managing a co brand portfolio P&L.
Fluent in co-brand business development and/or program management best practices along with implications for issuers networks and merchants.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent in English additional language preferred


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 151600 to 285600 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
