SUMMARY: This non-tenure-earning faculty position will teach in the CRNA Program engage in scholarly activity mentor graduate nursing students and contribute to college university community and professional service in alignment with the universitys criteria for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching didactic lab and clinical residency courses within the CRNA Program utilizing a variety of instructional methods. Additional responsibilities include participating in program and curriculum review and conducting student and clinical site evaluations as appropriate. The faculty member will also serve on college and university committees contribute to community and professional service activities and engage in scholarly work through publications and presentations consistent with university expectations for the assistant professor -person presence during standard business hours is required; remote work is not available for this position
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (non-tenure earning).
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Florida by the start date.
Must hold national certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Current clinical practice as a CRNA/APRN in the state of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of post-secondary teaching experience in a college or school of nursing.
Demonstrated expertise in teaching and developing curriculum in pharmacology physiology pathophysiology and nurse anesthesiarelated courses.
Experience with technology-supported educational methods including online and blended formats Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners.
Established record of scholarly work and/or external funding.
Experience with simulation-based learning.
Evidence of independent and collaborative scholarship or creative work supported by publications presentations and/or equivalent contributions.
