REPORTS TO: MLE Director and Assistant Director - Dr. Alberto Carrero Alma Pezo Ellen Kelleher-Rojas CHS MLE Coordinator MLE Esteban Cabrera Duran MLE Coordinator
GENERAL DUTIES: Educators will engage in developing the CAMINOS Social Studies Units for CHS. This process includes developing the Yearlong (YL) scope and sequence identifying lesson standards and key understandings and opportunities to develop cross-linguistic awareness.
Additionally they will focus on lesson-level planning emphasizing the selection of appropriate teaching practices that incorporate high-order thinking tasks and targeted support for dual-language classrooms.
Compensation: Teachers will be paid at the contractual rate for work outside of the school day (up to 25 hours total)
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be an educator from high school who teaches entering and emerging MLLs. We are looking for an educator who has a strong understanding of the content and EL Strategies. Duties: An Educator will develop Yearlong scope and sequence identify lesson standards key understandings and opportunities to develop cross-linguistic awareness.
COMPENSATION: There will be 25 hours allocated to this project. Compensation: Teachers will be paid at the contractual rate.
