Infotainment platforms unit is responsible for developing maintaining and deploying software for BMWs infotainment systems. BMWs infotainment uses a Linux platform that provides common automotive functions used by multiple automotive ECUs and an Android stack that hosts the customer functions and applications.
The unit is also responsible for cross-cutting concerns of the platform like architecture security stability and performance. The software is deployed into multiple infotainment domain ECUs ranging from head units and rear seat entertainment systems to telematics and audio ECUs.

Team description The system engineering team is responsible for configuring and optimizing the software of our next generation Linux and Android control units. The team works on the overall Linux and Android stack in very close cooperation with architects development and test teams. • Monitor system resources and feature KPIs of the fleet for anomalies and KPI violations
• Extract and prepare the data of KP violations for investigations
• Ideally provide first analysis of culprits and track improvement measures
• Implement new monitors and monitoring features based on customers needs
• Fix bugs in the tooling and fine tune the data pipelines databases

• Good Knowledge on Embedded Software System Resources handling
• Good Knowledge on Infotainment Systems and Features
• Strong hands-on competences on software analysis debugging and tracing tools
• General knowledge in Data Engineering and Data Analysis
• Good knowledge of Python with the experience in the production code development writing unit/end-to-end tests
• Good knowledge of Apache PySpark and Polars (frameworks for data collection and analysis) especially good/bad practices performance tuning
• Very good knowledge of SQL. Especially in writing complex queries with joins window functions etc
• Experience with Plotly Dash (Python library for graphs)

• Good knowledge of AWS (AmazonWebServices) Athena Glue QuickSight
