Job Summary

Description

The Production Scheduling Manager will primarily be accountable for the service metrics at the plant and protect the voice of the customer within the operational organization while making decisions. Maintaining a positive customer relationship internally and externally while maximizing service levels and minimizing finished goods and raw material supply issues.

Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm

10% Travel

Make decisions with the voice of the customer in mind.

Maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure supply chain targets are achieved.

Manage appropriate levels of finished goods inventories produced by participating in the flash and takt processes.

Drive continuous improvement by supporting current and future business needs.

Develop and maintain the production plan with clear and timely communication to operations.

Create and manage the finite schedule for assigned areas of responsibility and/or influence the work group assigned to do this task.

Develop plan and implement finite scheduling and production inventory control training initiatives.

Work with the buying/planning function to ensure finite schedules are maximizing service and accurate to raw material inventories.

Collaborate with the demand planning group to strive for forecast accuracy.

Provide data-based analysis when deciding appropriate problem resolution.

Review MRP (Material Resource Planning) daily for unusual production to determine inventory quantities and levels.

Manage finished good inventory to mitigate slow moving non-moving inventory creation at distribution centers.

Make decisions with freight costs and incremental production costs in mind to help the region achieve financial goals.

Manage the training and on-boarding of new direct reports.

Complete yearly reviews of employees.

Participate in required safety training and promote a safety culture with all employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Must have a bachelors degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a Purchasing Logistics Supply Chain or Operations role
Must have one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s) supervising others or leading teams
Must have three (3) years of work experience in a Purchasing Logistics Supply Chain or Operations role

Preferred Qualifications:

Have at least a bachelors degree or higher in Materials Management Supply Chain Logistics or Business
Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
Experience supporting a multi-shift 24/7 operation
Have a APICS Certification
MES and QAD proficiency
SAP Business Objects report writing proficiency
Have at least Six Sigma Green Belt certification
