JOB TITLE: One (1) Summer Intern

SUMMARY:
The Mayors Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City governments chief financial agency. OMBs staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayors expense and capital budgets which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
The Personnel Management & Administration (PMA) Taskforces mission is to design develop and assure the proper implementation of personnel programs and to provide continuous delivery of timely and efficient services to our agencys staff in accordance with citywide policies and directives. This Taskforce consists of Human Resources Payroll and Timekeeping ( Fringe Benefits) Administrative Services and OMB Budget. Payroll and Timekeeping encompasses CityTime benefits Time & Leave and Payroll. Human Resources encompasses Personnel Actions Recruitment Training Employment Processing and Employee Relations. OMB Budget is responsible for administration of the Agencys budget. The Administrative Services Unit is responsible for facility management purchasing and inventory accounts payables fleet maintenance reproduction services stockroom travel and mail services.

Documenting Workflows in the Payroll & Benefits Group Timekeeping and Human Resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
REQUIREMENTS:
A cover letter is required to be considered for this position. Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be considered.
Undergraduate interns must be currently enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university. Strong analytical research and communications skills are required. Candidates must have familiarity in MS Word and Excel
To participate in the OMB Summer Internship Program undergraduate students must be enrolled or accepted into a college or university.
Compensation/Duration:
Summer Undergraduate Intern$17.50 per hour
Internships will run for 10 weeks from June 1 2026 to August 7 2026. The work must be done during the regular workday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications :
As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program June - August each year.
