The Fintech Risk team at Toast is responsible for driving risk informed growth for the rapidly expanding Toast Fintech line of business. We are seeking a Lead Credit Risk Strategist as part of the team with a focus on the acquisition space. You will work with other analysts risk managers and leaders to analyze customer characteristics identify risk differentiators and recommend underwriting strategies to achieve the risk and return goals. About thisroll* (Responsibilities)

• Work with the leadership team to develop and refine credit risk strategy for new and existing lending products
• Identify risk drivers and recommend policy changes to balance risk and growth
• Partner with Data Science team to build test and monitor credit risk and decision models
• Perform portfolio analysis to monitor credit performance emerging trends and opportunities for strategies expansion and tightening
• Design and execute A/B test and champion-challenger experiments for policy pricing and strategy changes
• Support risk based pricing and profitability analysis to improve risk-return outcomes
• Collaborate with RD Product and Operations on the test and launch of new features and/or products

Do you have the rightingredients* (Requirements)

• 5 years of experience in retail/consumer/SMB finance in a credit risk or strategy role preferably in Fintech/banks

Ability and experience in writing credit memos and credit decision and strategy documentationPast experience in growing a lending business and hands on experience in credit strategy is required

• Experience in A/B testing
• Masters Degree or higher in a quantitative field (Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/OR/Business)
• Advanced data analytics skills including use of SQL Python/R Excel and data visualization tools such as Looker/Tableau/Hex
• Familiarity with statistical modeling is required
• Ability to influence a cross-functional non-hierarchical environment to lead collaborations and drive progress
