NHS Band 7: Salary 47810 - 54710 ( pro-rata) per annum 

Permanent contract.

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist ready to take the next step in your career Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic Team Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated stroke and neuro pathways service including our highly regarded Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team.

About the Role:

  • Lead and coordinate speech and language therapy provision across stroke and neuro pathways.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership within both acute and community settings.
  • Drive service development and innovation to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Benefit from peer support with another Band 7 SLT Team Lead within the pathway ensuring shared leadership collaboration and professional growth.

  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills able to inspire collaboration across disciplines.
  • Proven leadership experience supporting mentoring and developing staff to reach their potential.
  • Clinical expertise in stroke and neuro rehabilitation with a passion for evidence-based practice.
  • Commitment to service improvement and professional growth.
  • Able to independently manage a range of patients with dysphagia and communication difficulties.

Qualifications :

Essential

  • Diploma or Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Achieved postgraduate dysphagia competencies.
  • Driver (in the UK) and car owner essential for this role.
