About the Role
BDO is seeking an AML/CTF Compliance Officer at Management level to support the leadership and delivery of our AntiMoney Laundering and CounterTerrorism Financing (AML/CTF) framework. As a Tranche 2 firm BDO will be required to comply with the AML/CTF Act from 1 July 2026 and this role will play a critical part in ensuring our readiness and ongoing compliance.
Reporting into senior leadership you will take daytoday responsibility for the AML/CTF program supporting riskbased assessments of clients and staff maintaining robust controls and acting as a key liaison with regulators.

Key Responsibilities
Manage BDOs compliance with the AML/CTF Act and Rules
Lead the daytoday operation of the AML/CTF program and AML/CTF team
Develop implement and maintain AML/CTF policies procedures and systems
Act as BDOs primary contact with AUSTRAC including regulatory reporting
Report regularly to the Board and Senior Management on AML/CTF matters
Respond to regulatory feedback and support remediation activities
Qualifications Experience and Skills
3 years or more of experience managing an AML/CTF program or framework
Strong knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and Rules
Knowledge of the new bill concerning tranche 2 firms (not essential)
Experience leading onshore/offshore teams within an AML function
Familiarity with AML/CTF due diligence platforms (FirstAML highly regarded)
Strong analytical communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Bachelors degree in law business accounting or similar (preferred)
