DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Key Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific youll contribute to strategic growth and build long-term partnerships with key customers across Academia Healthcare and Diagnostics Laboratory sectors. Youll translate customer insights into meaningful partnership opportunities while representing our comprehensive portfolio of innovative diagnostics solutions. Working in a collaborative environment youll develop and execute account strategies that deliver exceptional value to customers while meeting revenue objectives. Youll build professional relationships with decision-makers and coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure customer success.
Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive business plans conducting regular strategic partnership plans negotiating contracts and implementing strategic initiatives to grow market share and customer loyalty. Youll collaborate across divisions to leverage Thermo Fishers full capabilities while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers. Through proactive account management and innovative solutions youll help customers advance their critical work in making the world healthier cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
8 years of experience in strategic account management preferably in healthcare or diagnostic markets
College Degree with preferred Fields of Study: Science Engineering Business or related field
Additional relevant certifications in sales account management or related areas beneficial
Demonstrated success in developing and growing key account relationships at executive levels
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex scientific workflows and applications
Advanced negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent presentation and communication abilities
Demonstrated success working in collaborative organizations
Proficiency in CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and business planning capabilities
Ability to travel 50-75%
Fluency in English required; additional language skills beneficial
Experience with consultative selling and complex sales cycles
Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic account plans
Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze business opportunities
Experience coordinating teams to deliver customer solutions
