About the role/Opportunity
- This role will allow you to:
- Support and sustain engagement of children in a kindergarten environment
- Build trusting & respectful relationships with parents to encourage effective in-home learning
- Foster important connections and collaboration between the family the early childhood education and care (ECEC) service and its educators and other services
- Share and develop your expertise in relational and strength-based practice by engaging your strong interpersonal communication skills and empowering families and their support networks to work in collaboration for better outcomes
- Apply your demonstrated skill for independent work outputs and supporting team members to achieved desired results
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Essential: Degree qualification in Human Services Social Work Psychology Early Childhood or related field
- Have genuine understanding and expertise in:
- VEYLDF
- The Best Interests Practice Framework
- Attachment Theory
- Trauma-informed Practice and the Core Values for Trauma-informed Services
- Small talk coordinator training and resources
- Structural familial and relational barriers to access universal services
- Reflective practice
- Social determinants of health.
- Knowledge of the child and family services welfare sector.
- Ability to apply organisational practice models procedures theoretical frameworks and relevant legislation when working with clients and teams
- High level skills to engage and triage clients in an effective safe and timely manner
- Demonstrated responsibility for independent work outputs whilst contributing strongly as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve desired results. Previous experience of acting up or performing higher duties is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated capability to engage in networking opportunities and partnerships to build effective collaborations and relationships to offer best practice services to children and families.
- Demonstrated personal resilience and a level of self-awareness relating to ones own practice and relationships with others.
