As we continue to modernise our learning ecosystem our Group Learning & Development function is focused on delivering consistent innovative technology enabled solutions that support our people and enable safe efficient operations across the business. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and governing how learning technology is used across the Qantas Group. 

As the Learning & Development Manager Technology you will be accountable for ensuring the effective business application of learning technology systems primarily Workday Learning and for ensuring system configuration data structures and processes meet the operational compliance and strategic needs of the Group. You will lead requirement gathering system testing release readiness data quality governance stakeholder engagement and business validation processes. 

You will lead a specialist team and work in close partnership with the Learning Manager Quality & Standards to ensure learning technology and quality frameworks are aligned integrated and consistently applied across the organisation. 

A key focus of this role is driving transformation across the learning technology landscape strengthening data governance developing enterprise grade analytics solutions (including Power BI) influencing configuration decisions leading release and change readiness and ensuring learning systems are reliable compliant and positioned for future capability uplift (including AIenabled solutions). 

 

You will have: 

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a learning technology digital learning business systems or learning transformation leadership role ideally in a large complex organisation  
  • Demonstrated expertise leading enterprise learning technology strategies governance processes and digital transformation initiatives  
  • Advanced experience in Learning Management Systems (preferable Workday) including requirement gathering solution validation release readiness testing and stakeholder governance  
  • Deep capability in Power BI development data modelling analytics interpretation and enterprise reporting  
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex technical information into meaningful insights  
  • Experience leading specialist teams including coaching capability uplift and performance management  
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT digital learning business systems analytics or a related discipline (desirable)
