PERT is a nonprofit organization that seeks to address the employability issues faced by English-speaking Quebecers. Since our founding in 2020 we have developed a research and engagement agenda in collaboration with stakeholders across Québec who are working to improve the labour market outcomes of English speakers.
The Outreach Assistant position will offer the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program coordination and participant engagement within PERTs Circonflexe Mentorship Program. This role is designed for someone who enjoys connecting with people managing data and supporting the smooth operation of programs that strengthen professional networks for English-speaking Quebecers.
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Development the Outreach Assistant will support the recruitment onboarding and engagement of mentors and mentees in the Circonflexe Mentorship Program. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct outreach to prospective mentors and mentees including screening calls and follow-ups
- Manage high volumes of program participant data with attention to accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate the movement of program applicants through the program phases including sending and receiving contracts and onboarding materials
- Field participant questions and provide timely guidance throughout program participation
- Maintain organized records of mentor and mentee engagement program progress and communications
- Support the Program Coordinator in day-to-day operational tasks to ensure a smooth participant experience
Requirements
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with managing high volumes of data and maintaining accurate records
- Friendly professional and approachable demeanour for interacting with program participants
- Ability to work independently take initiative and manage competing priorities
- Experience with program coordination mentorship volunteer management or community engagement is an asset
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar software
Job Specifications
- Position type: Contract or internship starting as soon as possible
- Pay: $22/hour
- Location: 393 rue Saint-Jacques Suite 258 Montreal Québec H2Y 1N9 with an opportunity for hybrid work
