What You Will Do:
AO Leadership Authority & Governance
- Serve as the accountable Advanced Operations (AO) leader for Commercial NPD representing AO in governance forums and senior leadership engagements.
- Act as the primary AO interface for GQO Division and site leadership in Flower Mound Texas.
- Prioritize and deploy AO resources to meet NPD commitments balancing business needs functional priorities and capacity constraints.
- Lead structured governance escalation and cross-functional alignment to ensure timely decisions and risk resolution.
NPD Execution Excellence & Predictability
- Own the health predictability and transparency of AO support across Commercial NPD programs.
- Establish and drive NPI performance metrics operating cadence and review mechanisms to provide early visibility to risks and tradeoffs.
- Lead structured problem-solving when execution deviates from plan driving root cause identification corrective actions and sustainable recovery plans.
- Provide clear recommendations and escalation pathways to senior leadership to enable data-driven decisions.
Flower Mound Site & Organizational Leadership
- Provide direct leadership for AO Engineering resources in Flower Mound supporting both Commercial and Endoscopy Business Units.
- Serve as the senior AO presence at the site strengthening engagement accountability and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead a diverse organization of people leaders and individual contributors including AO Project Managers and Engineers.
- Build a high-performing globally connected AO organization across Flower Mound Texas and Tuttlingen Germany.
Manufacturing Strategy & Global Supply Leadership
- Own launch site strategy and manufacturing readiness for new products independent of business unit or geography.
- Lead make/buy and sourcing strategy in partnership with R&D Manufacturing Quality Sourcing Trade Compliance Tax and other key stakeholders.
- Engage global manufacturing sites OEMs and contract manufacturers to ensure scalable future-fit supply chains.
- Develop and present enterprise-level fact-based recommendations that optimize cost risk and long-term supply strategy.
Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication
- Build trusted partnerships across Advanced Operations Commercial NPD and Global Operations.
- Communicate execution status risks tradeoffs and decisions with clarity and executive presence.
- Foster credibility through disciplined follow-up transparent communication and consistent operating rhythm.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required in Engineering Science Manufacturing Operations or a related discipline.
- 10 years of progressive experience in operations supply chain project/program management or related fields preferably within the medical device or regulated manufacturing industry.
- 5 years of people leadership experience including leading managers and individual contributors in complex matrixed organizations.
Preferred Skills:
- Masters degree and/or MBA
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP Certification
- NPD experience
- Global management exposure
- Experience presenting to and influencing senior and executive leadership
