We are seeking a Chemical/Process Engineer either Recent Graduate with 2 years experience or a more experienced Senior Engineer with 5 years experience (this role can also be based in Sydney or Melbourne) to join our Integrated Water Planning Team in our Brisbane this role you will provide technical assistance in the assessment and strategic planning of water and wastewater treatment plants to manage growth compliance network performance and renewals. Your work will include master planning options assessments feasibility studies and business case preparation.
The role will require the successful applicant to:
- Learn and apply fundamental chemical and physical concepts to review and define problems and then design treatment process solutions.
- Develop calculation sheets and models PFDs and P&IDs and inform design drawings.
- Prepare reports and presentations to clearly communicate findings to clients.
Senior Applicants will also:
- Provide technical mentorship to junior staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and prepare proposals.
- Supervise and coordinate project teams to meet objectives and client expectations.
Qualifications :
About You
You are interested in a career in water and/or wastewater treatment and are motivated to learn and work with a high-performing team.
Ideally you will bring:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Recent Graduate (2 yrs exp): no industry experience needed but undergraduate/graduate experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably.
- Engineer Role: Over 3 years experience in water and/or wastewater treatment planning and/or design.
- Senior Engineer Role: Over 5 years industry experience particularly in:
- Water or Wastewater Treatment
- Detailed design experience advantageous
- Biosolids and solid stream experience valued
- Established profile within industry associations e.g. active involvement in shaping the industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity ensuring scope schedule and quality objectives are consistently achieved
