Job Summary

The Role
This is a full-time position teaching English across Key Stages 35. The successful candidate will contribute to a department that balances academic rigour with creativity and critical inquiry.
You will:
Teach English Literature and Language to GCSE and A-Level
Deliver engaging seminar-style lessons that promote analytical depth
Contribute to curriculum enrichment including debating and creative writing
Support Oxbridge and competitive university preparation where relevant
Participate in pastoral duties and wider school life
The curriculum places strong emphasis on canonical texts alongside contemporary voices encouraging intellectual curiosity and independent thought. Sixth Form teaching is particularly strong with small class sizes allowing for detailed academic discussion.
