About this role
In this role you are part of Team Inbound. You provide administrative support for the outplant activities (scope: 3rd party logistics service providers contract manufacturers external manufacturers) related to Inbound Inventory and Returns. The activities consist of Inbound flow inventory management and Return flows.
This role has a goal to facilitate the Outbound Readiness enabling the Outbound team to deliver an elevated customer focus.
This role ensures accurate administration timely follow-up on requests and smooth execution of operational processes.
Responsibilities
Assisting Outplants with the daily monitoring and coordination of material movement activities in SAP addition acting as a safety net for the Business Supply Chain in terms of material availability. Providing ad hoc support within the logistics organization whenever needed and collaboration with both internal and external teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
Uses logistics knowledge technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues which improve process performance and reliability for one or multiple transportation addition this role works with key partners to optimize operations on a regular basis. Depending on the role the candidate will need to provide specific modal expertise (Bulk Marine Road Rail Warehousing Terminals). The role also entails tracking metrics other tactical assistance and project work process support within their area of this role you will require conceptual knowledge of theories practices and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Record the transaction in ECC related to the activities executed by the outplants and shared by the outplants.
Monitor Inbounds Inventories and Returns and collaborate with 3PL to reschedule backlog and/or collect missing information.
Execute Inventory Accuracy assessments comparing the inventory of the outplant system and Dow ECC find root causes for mismatches and resolve those.
Execute the Cycle Count process.
Monitor the ECC Workflow for EDI connected sites for the Inbound and Inventory related flows.
Follow up on reported damages and losses related to all activities
Responsibilities Duties projects tasks and activities you would be responsible for in this role.
Analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and reporting tools.
Knowledge of warehousing terminal and external manufacturer operations and packing processes.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate multiple priorities.
Utilizes logistics knowledge technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues which improve process performance and reliability
Works with technical advising and logistics operations personnel to create methods to optimize operations
Participates in advanced troubleshooting and coach others to learn these skills. Implement best practices
Interacts with other Dow regions to resolve order issues for inter-area shipments.
Ensures Most Effective Technology and specific operating discipline requirements are in place
Interfaces with third party logistics providers and ensure contractual obligations are met with no penalties or fines incurred
Initiates changes to operating procedures to ensure that they are valid and up-to-date
Communicates technical information and issues to operations and or technology
Supports and assists with QN investigation and identification of corrective and preventative measures
Administers trade lane contracts where needed to maximize benefits to Dow
Responds to and resolve customer or internal product quality or service incidents.
Supports Procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise
Qualifications : University Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or other Sciences
0-3 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment. Warehousing Operations Analytics preparing Power point presentation Advance Excel SAP
technical proficiency in use of computer applications and analytical skills
