Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds in Manassas VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed officer supporting a patrol-focused post. You will conduct routine rounds stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents and assist with access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations communicate clearly with staff and the public and respond to concerns with professionalism. Bring integrity teamwork and a people-first approach to every interaction.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points verifying identification and/or visitor authorization and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns.
- Complete required reports and logs document incidents and unusual activity and communicate key information during shift turnovers and/or as requested by site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 1 years armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Must have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Must have an armed guard card/license.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
