About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategicSeniorDataPlatformSecurityArchitectto lead the design implementation and governance ofsecurityacross ourdataplatformecosystem. This role serves as the authoritative voice ondatasecurityarchitectureand works crossfunctionally with engineeringdata compliance product and cybersecurity teams to ensure thedatainfrastructure issecure resilient and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Architectand own endtoendsecurityframeworks fordataplatformsincluding:

Datalakesdatawarehouses streaming pipelines and analyticsplatforms

Technologies such as Snowflake Databricks Microsoft Fabric Kafka and Spark

Define and enforcedatasecuritystandards:

Access control encryption (at rest/in transit)datamasking tokenization secrets management

Lead threat modeling and risk assessments fordataplatformsand drive remediation

Design and implement IAM strategies:

RBAC ABAC leastprivilege access models

Establish and maturedataclassification policies and tiers

Embedsecurityacross the fulldatalifecycle:

Ingestion transformation storage consumption and archival

Definesecurityrequirements for cloud-nativedataservices across:

AWS Azure and GCP (multicloud / hybrid environments)

Design audit logging lineage tracking and monitoring solutions to support:

Incident detection forensics and compliance reporting

Ensure compliance with regulatory andsecurityframeworks including:

GDPR CCPA SOC 2 SOX USGCB FCC Decree

Mentor engineers and act as a subject matter expert forsecuredataplatformdesign

Evaluate and recommendsecuritytools and vendors (DSPM DLP etc.)

Communicatesecurityarchitecturedecisions and risk posture to technical and executive stakeholders

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience in informationsecurity

4 years focused ondataplatformor clouddatasecurityarchitecture

Deep expertise securing moderndataplatforms:

Clouddatawarehousesdatalakes lakehouse realtime streaming systems

Strong knowledge of IAM and zerotrust principles across:AWS IAM Azure AD / Entra ID GCP IAM

Handson experience with:Encryption KMS/HSMdatamasking tokenization

Experience withsecurityand compliance frameworks: GDPR CCPA PCIDSS SOC 2 SOX NIST CSF USGCB FCC Decree

Proficiency in scripting/programming: Python SQL Bash (or similar)

Experience with:

SIEM tools DSPMplatforms DLP solutions vulnerability scanners

Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical risk to business context

Preferred Qualifications

Securitycertifications:

CISSP CCSP AWSSecuritySpecialty Google Professional CloudSecurityEngineer

Experience with:

InfrastructureasCode (Terraform Pulumi)DevSecOps practices

Exposure todatagovernance tools:
