About the Role


Our Client is seeking a Loan Officer to work in Buenar Park CA. The Loan Officer will guide clients through the loan application process ensure compliance with regulations and perform underwriting loan origination and credit analysis to assess client needs and recommend appropriate loan products.





Requirements

Responsibilities


  • Follow Our Clients Lending Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to all regulatory regulations guidelines and compliance requirements for banking activities.
  • Underwrite and approve credit memos in accordance with lending policies and prudent lending practices.
  • Receive and interview customers applying for commercial loans.
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations and underwriting for loan applications.
  • Prepare credit memos for new loans renewals extensions refinancing and other loan modifications.
  • Act as a primary contact between clients and internal departments throughout the loan process.
  • Request and review third-party appraisals ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Perform closing activities including document verification coordination with the Legal Management Department (LMD) and external closing attorneys.
  • Carry out annual loan reviews and site visits as per the Lending Policy.
  • Maintain accurate and updated credit and collateral documentation.
  • Support general banking Credit Administration (CA) and BPC activities such as marketing community services and administration.
  • Provide quality customer service to clients and assist in obtaining necessary documentation for other departments.
  • Undertake other duties or special projects as assigned by the Head of Loan Team or Chief of Division.
  • Management reserves the right to modify add or rescind work assignments as needed.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Degree in Finance Business Economics or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in bank loan processing credit analysis or a related banking field preferred; entry-level candidates may also be considered.
  • For Senior Loan Officer: 5 years commercial experience and experience handling C&I lending for Korean companies or U.S. subsidiaries of Korean companies.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (both verbal and written) is required.
  • Strong understanding of lending practices financial analysis and credit risk evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing systems (preferred).
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.


Compensation


  • Junior Loan Officer: From $70000.00 per year.
  • Senior Loan Officer: From $100000.00 per year (see Senior qualification above).
