Job Description
As a Security Officer - Office Park Rounds in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests document observations using a computer and/or tablet and deliver helpful customer service with clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas exterior walkways parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entrances high-traffic areas and point-of-sale lines to observe for suspicious behavior loitering and/or disruptive conduct and promptly notify site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls disorderly persons alarms and/or property damage while following reporting and escalation protocols.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports daily activity logs and shift notes and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
