The Team:

TOTEM service founded in 1997 provides the major market makers in OTC derivatives with definitive consensus market prices. More than 50 of the leading banks trading houses and other investment professionals use the TOTEM service as the key independent check of their trading book valuations. Totem development team consists of 14 developers located in the Noida London and Toronto offices and involved in Development of Cloud native services and AI capabilities using Java Spring AWS Oracle Python and Angular technology stack.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead end-to-end software development by designing developing and implementing complex systems while ensuring application performance quality and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and software architects to define features assess existing applications and drive successful delivery and modernization strategies.
  • Design and implement modernization initiatives including refactoring legacy code containerization and microservices adoption for scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Develop andmaintaincloud-native solutions on AWS ensuring security scalability and reliability in alignment with best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment focused on inclusivity knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in and lead code reviews provide constructive feedback troubleshoot technical issues and stay current with trends in Java development and cloud technologies.
  • Lead integration of AI capabilities into product

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science & engineering or masters degree in computer science (MCA).
  • 8 years hands on experience with Java J2EE and related frameworks and technologies (Spring Restful services Spring Boot Spring JPA Spring Security MVC etc)
  • 5 years of experience with designing architecting and building microservices based distributed systems in serverless environment (containers platforms).
  • Proficient with Data structures and Algorithms.
  • Hands-on ability to build quick prototype/visuals to assist with high level product concepts and capabilities.
  • Experience with Performance tuning Thread dump analysis and code refactoring.
  • Experience in different data base technologies (like RDBMS NOSQL)
  • Experience in Containerization cloud platforms CI/CD and deployments through CI/CD pipelines and AWS services like S3 EKS EC2 etc.
  • Proficiency in the development environment including IDE web & application server GIT Azure DevOps unit-testing tool and defect management tools

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • AI/ML solutions architecture
  • Knowledge of AI Tech stack
  • Hands on experience with Elastic/Redis search
  • Hands on experience in Python
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
