The Role

As a Senior Lecturer you will play a key role in designing developing and delivering engaging teaching across a range of business modules. Youll support students both in person and online contribute to assessment and quality assurance and be involved in scholarship and continuous curriculum improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Academic Support: Be the primary academic contact for a cohort of students supporting their learning journey and progression. Address engagement and pastoral needs in collaboration with wider student services.
• Academic Leadership: Line manage academic colleagues allocate workloads and contribute to staff development recruitment and induction.
• Teaching & Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver high-quality learning and teaching across undergraduate modules.
• Assessment & Quality: Set mark and moderate assessments; contribute to assessment board preparation; review academic integrity cases; and enhance student feedback processes.
• Programme Enhancement: Monitor module feedback contribute to annual monitoring reports and support continuous improvement in student outcomes and satisfaction.
• Scholarship & Professional Development: Engage in scholarly activity relevant to your subject area and support the Colleges Research and Scholarship Plan.

What Were Looking For:

Were looking for a student-focused educator with:

Essential:

• A Masters degree in a relevant subject discipline
• Experience managing academic programmes and supporting student development
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance in higher education
• Fellowship of the HEA or willingness to achieve it within 12 months
• Excellent teaching communication and interpersonal skills
• Digital fluency with experience using VLEs such as MS Teams Moodle or Blackboard

Desirable:

• PhD (or near completion) or equivalent academic or professional standing
• Experience in research enterprise or academic publication
• Teaching qualification

Working Hours & Flexibility

• 40 hours per week (schedule may include evenings and occasional weekends)
