Job Description
As a Security Officer - Overnight Unarmed Rounds in Alexandria VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points observe and report unusual activity and assist riders and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications to site contacts and public agency partners as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms entrances parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas verifying credentials and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with post orders and site policies.
- Complete patrol logs incident reports and shift documentation per Allied Universal requirements and site procedures using required communication methods and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Experience with handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
