The Role

  • Teaching Photography across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 teaching available depending on experience

  • Delivering lessons that combine technical skill development with creative exploration

  • Teaching core areas including digital photography composition lighting editing and visual storytelling

  • Supporting pupils in developing high-quality portfolios for examination and exhibition

  • Encouraging experimentation across both digital and traditional photographic processes

  • Contributing to exhibitions displays and wider creative events within the school

  • Maintaining high standards of organisation equipment care and safe studio practice

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience within an independent school setting

  • A degree in Photography Fine Art Visual Arts or a closely related discipline

  • Experience teaching Photography at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 highly desirable)

  • Strong technical knowledge of DSLR cameras studio lighting and editing software

  • The ability to inspire creativity while maintaining clear academic expectations

  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills

  • A genuine passion for visual arts and pupil development
