The Role

• Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 depending on experience

• Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons

• Promoting high standards of food hygiene safety and organisation within practical settings

• Supporting pupils with coursework controlled assessments and exam preparation

• Encouraging creativity independence and confidence in practical cooking and nutrition

• Contributing to curriculum development within the Design & Technology faculty

• Supporting enrichment activities such as cooking clubs or healthy living initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Food Technology Hospitality Nutrition or a related field

• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4

• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and assessment requirements

• Excellent classroom and practical management skills

• High expectations for pupil achievement and engagement

• A positive organised and collaborative teaching style
