The Role

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 available depending on experience

• Delivering engaging lessons in performance composition listening and music theory

• Preparing pupils for GCSE (and A-Level where applicable) examinations

• Leading practical ensemble work including small group and whole-class performance

• Encouraging creativity and confidence across a range of musical styles and genres

• Contributing to concerts productions and wider co-curricular music opportunities

• Supporting instrumental progression and musical enrichment activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Music or a closely related discipline

• Experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4

• Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge

• The ability to inspire pupils of all abilities

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• A collaborative and proactive approach to department development
