Medical Technologist (MT) Nights
Location: Panama City FL
Position Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Shift: Nights 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (Rotating Weekends)
About the Organization
A well-established acute care hospital in the Panama City Florida area is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to support overnight laboratory operations. The facility provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including advanced cardiac care womens services neonatal and pediatric intensive care and stroke care.
Position Overview
The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory testing across multiple clinical disciplines. This role is essential to supporting accurate diagnosis treatment and disease prevention through high-quality laboratory analysis.
Laboratory areas may include:
Hematology
Clinical Chemistry
Blood Bank
Serology
Coagulation
Urinalysis
Microbiology
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex microscopic immunologic hematologic bacteriologic and chemical analyses
Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and document corrective actions
Perform and document quality control procedures
Participate in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning as needed
Assist with training of new employees and students
Monitor and maintain laboratory supply inventory
Required Qualifications
Florida Generalist Medical Technologist license REQUIRED
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related field
MT/MLS registry required prior to start
ASCP (or equivalent) certification preferred
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong generalist laboratory experience or training
Clinical rotations or prior lab assistant/specimen processing experience (especially for new graduates)
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Compensation
$28.65 $29.89/hour (12 years of experience)
$31.12 $32.36/hour (56 years of experience)
$33.59 $36.95/hour (10 years of experience)
Shift Differentials
Evenings: $2.00/hour
Nights: $3.00/hour
