Job Summary

Department Overview:

Financial Markets (FM) is INGs gateway to the professional markets around the world. Its primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and London Financial Markets is a significant liquidity provider in Foreign Exchange Commodities Equity Fixed Income and financing products across developed and emerging markets via voice and electronic channels.

What This Internship Involves:

This internship is located in the heart of the dealing room working closely with the Financial Markets management team. The assignment is to refresh standardise and where possible automate front office work processes concerning aspects of management information essential to promoting and running the business efficiently and effectively.

Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education

Masters educated in a mathematics computer science data analytics engineering discipline

Experience/Knowledge

Highly proficient in coding (Python) and Microsoft 365 Suite (especially Copilot and AI agents MS Teams Excel (including VBA) Power Point and Word)

Desirable

6 month of work experience in the financial industry

Genuinely interested in the banking industry and financial markets
Self-motivated team-player with a high degree of initiative
Able to communicate ideas in a concise manner
Ability to work under pressure
A proactive take it on and make it happen mentality
Ability to work independently prioritise tasks and take ownership
Organised with high attention to detail
Fluent in English both verbally and written

Your role and key responsibilities:

Support front office management team in the extraction manipulation and visualisation of data for the purposes of driving performance and best practice.

Interrogate data sources primary internal data bases (e.g. trade repositories HR systems) to produce activity reports

Use AI agents to build capability to reliably querying a warehouse of in-house policy & procedure documents

Build a library of business unit specific marketing decks (power point)

Automate daily front office workflow routines
