This is a pure new business role responsible for originating shaping and closing highvalue opportunities with sophisticated institutional buyers including hedge funds CTAs prop shops trading firms and global investment organizations.
You will combine consultative value-led selling with disciplined outbound activity strategic account planning and deep technical credibility. This role requires a seller who can confidently engage portfolio managers quant researchers CIOs data engineering teams and senior trading desks - and translate complex market challenges into differentiated Fastmarkets solutions spanning data analytics forecasts and platform offerings.
Success in this role requires a blend of commercial sharpness industry fluency technical depth and relentless execution.
Principle Accountabilities
New Logo Acquisition
- Own the full 360 sales cycle from origination through to close.
- Build and convert a robust pipeline aligned to Strategic AE thresholds.
- Drive disciplined opportunity strategy multithreading and highvelocity execution.
- Deliver consistently against a defined new business ARR quota.
Prospecting & Market Penetration
- Execute targeted outbound strategies across hedge funds systematic shops brokers banks and PE firms.
- Leverage existing seniorlevel networks to open new doors and secure highquality introductions.
- Penetrate complex accounts by engaging PMs traders quants researchers data scientists and investment teams.
- Prioritize strategic territories and whitespace based on TAM workflow suitability and datadriven targeting.
Inbound Deal Management
- Rapidly qualify inbound enquiries using a consultative painbased discovery framework.
- Map client challenges to Fastmarkets differentiated data assets methodologies forecasts and analytics capabilities.
- Drive trials evaluations and commercial progression with precision.
Sales Process Excellence
- Run a structured repeatable valuebased sales process that withstands scrutiny from technical buyers.
- Maintain rigorous forecasting CRM hygiene pipeline quality and disciplined territory execution in Salesforce.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing Product Editorial Pricing Specialists and subject-matter experts to build highimpact client engagements.
- Orchestrate multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored demos proposals and proofs of value.
