Job Summary

Atlantic Unions Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Atlantic Unions Bank Operations Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into internal auditing. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern provide the Intern with valuable experience and allow the Intern to contribute to the Payment Operations Department.

Position Accountabilities

The Intern is provided with assignments that include the entire Payment Operations Management support member. The intern will also get the opportunity to:

Shadow daily Payment Operation activities.
Shadow and perform project tracking and updates.
Shadow and perform scheduling of key meetings pertaining to project assignments.
Shadow and perform testing of product enhancements.
Shadow and perform deployment of updates tied to project closure.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Payment Operations Management Team Reporting to the Director of Payment Operations primarily and has a Remote residency.

Position Qualifications

Education Experience and Position Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Currently working on degree in Financial or Computer Science preferred
Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
Must be available to work a 40-hour week Monday through Friday
Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments professional and academic goals and expectations of this internship position
Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

Must be able to function well with indirect supervision
