Description

A dynamic and growing IT software company is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive with a strong background in sales and new business development within the retail and distribution sectors. The successful candidate will have extensive experience engaging with retailers wholesalers and distribution businesses and will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the companys footprint across multiple provinces.

Responsibilities:

Drive new business development through cold and arranged calls to retailers wholesalers and distribution businesses
Identify and engage potential clients within grocery fruit and veg meat pet hardware liquor and general merchandise sectors
Conduct PC-based software demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients
Understand client requirements and propose suitable software solutions
Maintain and update the sales and engagement funnel
Provide weekly remote updates to management
Escalate matters where necessary to ensure effective resolution
Close deals and achieve agreed sales targets

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years experience in business development and sales specifically within IT software or related industries
Proven experience selling into retail wholesale and distribution environments
Strong ability to close deals and meet sales targets
Good understanding of retail systems and operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely
Reliable transport and willingness to travel
Prepared to work non-standard hours when required
High level of professionalism reliability and attention to detail
