Description
The Grocery / Refrigeration Assistant Manager at Mothers Market supports the daily operations of the Grocery and Refrigeration departments while delivering exceptional customer service. This role assists in supervising team members maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring high standards of merchandising food safety and product quality. The Assistant Manager is a role model for Mothers Market values and helps create a positive efficient and wellness-focused shopping experience.
Wage Range: $20-$24/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Grocery / Refrigeration Manager in daily department operations
- Assist with ordering inventory control product rotation and merchandising
- Ensure proper stocking freshness dating and temperature compliance of products
- Help train coach and support department team members
- Provide friendly knowledgeable customer service and assist with product inquiries
- Monitor department cleanliness organization and food safety standards
- Help minimize shrink through accurate handling and rotation practices
- Step in to lead the department in the Managers absence when needed
- Follow all company policies safety procedures and food-handling standards
- Promote Mothers Market values including wellness sustainability and community
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
- Previous grocery refrigeration or retail supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic math inventory and merchandising skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability including weekends evenings and holidays
