We are currently recruiting a Basic Grade Radiographer for a Hospital in Cork Ireland.
Both permanent and fixed-term contracts are available
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiographic and imaging examinations in line with Department of Radiology requirements.
Coordinate and organise patient imaging within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Provide training and guidance to new Radiographers student Radiographers and trainee Radiologists.
Contribute to and support the clinical education of student Radiographers.
Assist in training new staff members on equipment use and departmental protocols.
Ensure patient comfort by clearly explaining procedures expected waiting times and addressing any concerns.
Review radiology requests to confirm accuracy including patient details LMP status clinical indications and any potential hazards.
Requirements
Registered with CORU with an active and valid registration.
Demonstrated relevant clinical experience in Radiography.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Strong commitment to quality assurance patient safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient-centred care at all times.
Technically competent with a high level of clinical accuracy and proficiency in radiographic procedures and equipment.
