Our client is an established U.S.-based moving company. Google (especially Google Business Profile) is our primary lead source. We currently work with an external SEO agency and are transitioning to bringing local SEO and GBP management in-house.
We are looking for a highly organized data-driven Local SEO specialist who understands how to maintain protect and grow rankings in competitive local markets. This is not a beginner SEO role. We need someone who understands how local search actually works.
What Youll Do
Youll be the kind of person who:
You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Google Business Profiles across multiple locations maintaining local SEO performance and ensuring we continue to generate high-quality inbound leads.
This role is primarily focused on:
- Local SEO
- Google Business Profile optimization
- Multi-location management
- Reporting and performance monitoring
- Defensive ranking strategy (not spam tactics)
Graphic design skills are a plus but not required. We have brand assets and design templates in
place.
Core Responsibilities
Google Business Profile Management
- Manage and optimize multiple GBP listings
- Monitor rankings using geo-grid tools
- Update services categories attributes appropriately
- Upload photos and ensure consistent visual updates
- Publish light weekly posts (not overposting)
- Monitor competitor activity and spam listings
- Respond to reviews when needed (in coordination with internal team)
- Monitor for suspensions or policy issues
LinkedIn & Facebook Management
- Monitor LinkedIn and Facebook accounts
- Post on pages as necessary to support search efforts
Local SEO Maintenance
- Optimize service and location pages
- Ensure NAP consistency across directories
- Monitor and maintain citations
- Identify technical SEO issues and coordinate fixes
- Improve internal linking and location relevance
- Track keyword rankings and visibility trends
- Support nearby city expansion strategy
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track leads generated from Google and website
- Provide simple monthly performance reports
- Analyze ranking changes and provide action plans
- Coordinate with internal team regarding CRM attribution

- Blog writers focused on general content
- Backlink spammers
- Post every day GBP strategy
- Black-hat SEO tactics
- Someone who needs constant direction
We want someone who understands how to manage and protect a strong local presence without
over-optimizing.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years of Local SEO experience
- Proven experience managing multi-location GBP accounts
- Strong understanding of:
- Local ranking factors
- Proximity bias
- GBP categories & services
- Google Search Console
- Basic technical SEO
- Experience with ranking tools (BrightLocal LocalFalcon etc.)
- Familiar with service-based businesses (home services preferred)
- Strong English communication skills
- Highly organized and self-directed
- Familiarity with WordPress
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience in the moving industry or home services
- Canva or basic graphic design experience
- Basic knowledge of schema markup
