To deliver this Workforce Strategy we have established a brand-new Workforce Development Team to support us in ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right timewho are recognised and valued for their contribution.

If you have a passion for workforce development and a proven track record in Human Resources Learning and Development Recruitment and Selection or Early Careers you could be just the talent we are looking for!

Workforce Development Manager up to 59490 pa

You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering the actions and commitments as set out in our ambitious Workforce Strategy. Managing a well-resourced team you will guide them in developing and delivering a wide range of innovative and creative workforce development solutions.

You should have:

  • Substantial experience and a proven track record of success in a Workforce/Organisational Development environment within a large complex organisation to include: learning and development (direct delivery and commissioning of providers) recruitment and retention employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Substantial experience of working effectively with senior leaders and external partners contributing to service development and service planning and quickly assimilating the workforce implications/potential of key strategic decisions.
  • A recognised and relevant level 5 qualification eg CIPD and a recognised management qualification such as a Chartered Manager Degree.

Workforce Lead external workforce (18 ½ hours) up to 46142 pa pro-rata

To lead on engagement activity with the externally regulated care workforce ensuring they are sighted on can contribute to and benefit from the Workforce Strategy products and support. Specifically you will support Providers in ensuring adequacy of supply of a well-trained local care workforce.

You should have:

  • Experience and a proven track record of success in a Workforce/Organisational Development environment within a large complex organisation to include: learning and development recruitment and retention employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining good working relationships both within own organisation and with partner organisations.
  • A recognised and relevant level 5 qualification a coaching qualification at level 5 or significant experience.

Workforce Lead internal workforce (full time) up to 46142 pa (pro-rata)

To lead on engagement activity with our internal workforce ensuring they are sighted on can contribute to and benefit from the Workforce Strategy products and support whilst also maximising what is already available to them corporately. Specifically you will support our team/hiring managers to attract recruit onboard develop and retain a quality social care workforce.

You should have:

  • Experience and a proven track record of success in a Workforce/Organisational Development environment within a large complex organisation to include: learning and development recruitment and retention employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Knowledge and experience of early careers pathways and developing and maintaining good working relationships both within own organisation and with partner organisations including FE HEI.
  • A recognised and relevant level 5 qualification a coaching qualification at level 5 or significant experience.

Learning and Development Trainer up to 46142 pa

You will design and deliver a fit for purpose creative and innovative learning and development offer for the Adult Social Care workforce; ensuring they have opportunity to develop their practice and grow their careers here in Walsall.

You should have:

  • Significant experience of designing and delivering creative learning and development programmes to a range of audiences including senior managers those in their early careers and targeting programmes appropriately.
  • Current knowledge of national and local drivers in workforce/learning and development within the Adult Social Care workforce and experience of commissioning learning and development providers or services in line with procurement rules/best practice.
  • Adult teaching/training qualification eg PTTLS CTTLS DTLLS and a coaching qualification at level 5 or significant experience.

Workforce Training Officer up to 34434 pa

You will support the Workforce Development Manager in the delivery of comprehensive learning and workforce development activity across the Adult Social Care workforce including roll out of large-scale training and other workforce development projects.Specifically you will ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the Team and coordinate practice development activities and training both internal and external to ensure that high quality learning interventions are delivered within budget.

You should have:

  • Experience of co-ordinating training and other developmental activities for large groups
  • Experience of managing financial processes
  • GSCE level 4 or above in English Language and r recognised ICT qualification or extensive experience of using a wide range of Microsoft products in a business setting
  • Confidence to speak up in front of others
