Responsibilities:
Execute the engineering strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives technology roadmaps and industry trends.
Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation scalability and delivery excellence.
Architect and govern large-scale distributed systems and enterprise-level solutions ensuring technical best practices and design principles are followed.
Shape the technology vision evaluating emerging trends and recommending strategic investments in tools frameworks and infrastructure.
Drive cross-functional collaboration partnering with Product Design and Business leaders to translate strategic goals into scalable technical solutions.
Establish and enforce engineering excellence including coding standards architectural guidelines security practices and DevOps automation.
Lead technical governance and decision-making balancing innovation with risk management cost efficiency and long-term maintainability.
Mentor and develop engineering leaders providing coaching career growth opportunities and succession planning within the organization.
Champion a data-driven approach leveraging analytics and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Represent engineering in executive discussions effectively communicating technical strategy challenges and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
What Were Looking For:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Systems or a related field.
10 years of hands-on experience in backend software development with a strong emphasis on scalable high-performance systems.
Proven experience in technical leadership mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions.
Backend Development & Architecture:
Expert proficiency in C# Core (or similar object-oriented programming languages).
Deep understanding of microservices architecture RESTful API design and distributed systems.
Strong experience in designing and implementing high-availability fault-tolerant systems.
Database & Data Engineering:
Advanced SQL programming with expertise in database performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
Strong experience with relational (MS SQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB DynamoDB etc.).
Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hadoop Databricks Spark Nifi ETL) is a plus.
Cloud & DevOps:
Experience in cloud computing environments (AWS Azure GCP) including cloud-native services.
Strong expertise in Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Messaging & Event-Driven Architecture:
Hands-on experience with large-scale messaging systems such as Kafka RabbitMQ or commercial equivalents.
Software Development Best Practices:
Expertise in application design and code reviews ensuring high standards of scalability security and performance.
Deep understanding of TDD BDD SOLID principles and best practices in software engineering.
Strong grasp of scripting languages (Bash Scala Perl PowerShell) for automation and system integration.
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with Product Design and Business teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Ability to make architectural decisions balance trade-offs and drive technical strategy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
Experience in financial services fintech or enterprise systems is highly preferred.
Exposure to AI/ML or predictive analytics in backend applications is a plus.
