Job Summary

Our client is a premier utility company specializing in rapid response and storm chasing to utility companies and contractors in need of a quick reaction force to repair power outages when they need it most. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Specialist to lead and manage all payroll for utility companies facing emergencies and power outages. They will play a critical role in planning coordinating and executing; while supporting and assisting the rest of the corporate team.

Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily sales postings and reconcile sales transactions
    • Verify and upload accounts payable invoices into our accounting system
    • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy
    • Process payroll efficiently and accurately including handling garnishments
    • Maintain high standards of data entry accuracy and completeness
    • Collaborate with team members to accomplish departmental goals
    • Handle sensitive financial and payroll information with confidentiality
    • Assisting with any additional duties needed

Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
    • Proven experience in accurate and dependable data entry
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and payroll information
    • Team player mindset
    • Effective communication
    • Strong organization skills
$60000 - $75000 a year
