Whats the role
As aSenior Associate Credit Analystin theConsumer & servicesteam youll take ownership of credit analysis and portfolio management for a group of corporate customers across the Consumer and Services industry sectors.
Youll work on complex transactions with high deal flows balancing strong commercial solutions with disciplined risk management.
Youll make an impact by applying strong credit judgement and industry insight to directly influence sustainable lending decisions and customer outcomes.
This is a permanent Sydneybased role within Westpac Institutional Bank.
What do I need
This role suits someone with strong analytical skills a risk mindset and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
Heres what will help you succeed:
- Experience in corporate / institutional banking credit analysis or structured finance
- Proven ability to write credit submissions including good quality risk analysis and financial forecasting be able to present and navigate submissions through WIBs risk management decision process witha focus on delivering safely and acting upon well-understood risks and tailored solutions.
- A collaborative and deep sense of owning it with a commitment to continuous improvement balance sheet and equity growth whilst tempered with the right risk appetite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commercial acumen and interest in consumer and services sectors
- Excellent communication skills a strong presence with the ability to make a positive impact in everyday interactions that drive strong client advocacy.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.
