Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible to the Board of Directors for the strategic leadership operational integrity and longterm sustainability of the organization. The CEO provides unified direction across the Generation Transmission and Distribution businesses to ensure the consistent delivery of safe reliable and uninterrupted power to approximately four million customers.
In this capacity the CEO upholds the highest standards of regulatory compliance financial stewardship and risk management while fostering constructive relationships with government bodies regulators industry partners and the served communities. The role is entrusted with safeguarding organizational assets developing enterprise capabilities to meet future energy demand and advancing responsible environmental and energytransition initiatives.
The role ensures the organization maintains operational excellence enhances shareholder value and preserves the trust and confidence of all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Leadership & Governance
Translate Board strategy into executable operational and financial plans. Uphold the highest standards of governance transparency and ethical conduct. Foster a culture of accountability performance and safety.
Financial Stewardship & Shareholder Value
Drive sustainable EBITDA growth cash flow optimization and capital efficiency. Oversee multi-year capital investment programs across generation transmission and distribution.
Optimize capital structure and funding strategies. Balance tariff realities with operational sustainability.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Leadership
Serve as principal interface with regulators government authorities investors and key stakeholders. Ensure full compliance with national grid codes energy regulations and environmental laws. Advocate constructively for sector reforms aligned with long-term sustainability.
Operational Reliability & System Resilience
Ensure uninterrupted safe and reliable power supply across the value chain.
Oversee crisis management network stability and contingency preparedness.
Maintain operational KPIs (availability losses reliability indices safety metrics).
Energy Transition & Future Readiness
Develop and execute long-term strategy for renewable integration and network modernization. Lead digital transformation initiatives including smart grids predictive analytics and automation. Position the organization to meet future demand growth and energy efficiency trends.
Organizational Capability & Culture
Build a high-performance executive leadership team. Develop succession pipelines across technical and managerial roles. Strengthen safety culture and zero-harm mindset. Drive workforce productivity in a people-intensive organization.
Risk Management & Sustainability
Ensure enterprise-wide risk identification and mitigation (operational financial regulatory cyber environmental). Integrate ESG principles into corporate strategy. Enhance climate resilience and infrastructure durability.
Education & Experience
Business Technical or Finance graduate with 20 years in power/energy or large asset-intensive infrastructure sectors. Proven P&L leadership at enterprise or business-unit level
Experience in regulated environments. Demonstrated success in leading large complex multi-vertical organizations
