Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

This role is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory by building and maintaining trusted long-term relationships with healthcare professionals. The position focuses on promoting pharmaceutical products delivering compelling value-based sales presentations and achieving defined sales objectives while upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively in highly competitive markets demonstrating resilience strategic agility and adaptability.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $95K - $100K. The salary rage displayed may vary based on market data/ranges an applicants skills prior relevant experience certain degrees certifications and other relevant factors.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales performance by effectively promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals within the assigned territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals including pediatric specialists where applicable to establish trust loyalty and consistent product utilization.
  • Deliver impactful value-based sales presentations tailored to provider needs leveraging strong clinical knowledge and product expertise.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory business plans through analysis of sales data identification of growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor competitive activity market dynamics and industry trends to adapt strategies and secure business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing medical affairs and other internal partners to ensure aligned and effective customer engagement.
  • Demonstrate patient-centric selling by clearly communicating product benefits that support improved health outcomes.
  • Optimize time and territory management by effectively prioritizing daily activities customer engagements and administrative responsibilities.
  • Exhibit resilience and adaptability in navigating challenges and overcoming obstacles throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain full compliance with all regulatory legal and company standards upholding the highest ethical practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Proven ability to leverage competitive strategies to secure business wins in highly competitive markets.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative engaging and persuasive approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals based on trust and credibility.
  • Self-motivated result-driven professional with high integrity and resilience in overcoming challenges.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks manage schedules and maximize productivity.
  • Patient-focused and empathetic maintaining a customer-centric mindset in all interactions.
  • Strong commitment to compliance and adherence to regulatory legal and ethical standards.
  • Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite CRM systems digital meeting platforms and related tools.
  • Valid drivers license with a safe driving record.
  • Successful completion of all Amplity and client-required training programs.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend professional events.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company you may be required to submit and maintain credentials such as training vaccinations and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Companys expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time representatives working in the District of Columbia City of Chicago State of Nevada State of Oregon or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change including the potential for additions or the event of any significant changes you will be notified accordingly.
